If you love horses….if you love the water….if you love the ocean…if you love Florida….Then this is a must photo workshop that you must attend. Did I say very affordable? We all had a great time every morning and evening with beautiful equines and riders. Phyllis and Cara will become your friend forever and are wonderful teachers. I will be back. Kathy C.

I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop! Well planned out by Phyllis Burchett Photography and Fast Horse Photography. We had plenty of opportunity to photograph horses and models both on the beach and at a local farm. Wonderful models. Costumes were a nice added touch! Phyllis also did a nice editing review- demonstrating her workflow on a couple of her own images. This was very helpful- and I have since use some off her suggestions. I plan to attend again this year! Well worth the money spent. Heather F.

On my bucket list for photography was taking sunrise photos on the beach with beautiful models and horses. With Phyllis Burchett teaching there was also an instructor who really knew her stuff and had a great way of sharing. The horses, models and barns just kept coming. Throw in other talented photographers, a fabulous location on St Augustine Beach, and this workshop was a very satisfying experience. I can’t wait to do it again. Thanks to Phyllis Burchett and Cara Swift. Harry F.

    Testimonials from previous Ranch Workshops:

The Dryhead Ranch Retreat in Montana exceeded any expectations I had!  Since I was fortunate enough to participate in the first one at Dryhead, I wasn’t quite sure what it would be like….but having taken part in other retreats/workshops, this one was amazing!  Each day was filled with photo opportunities filled with incredible scenery, horses, and riders.  The atmosphere was fun and relaxed and the accommodations were wonderful!  We were taken care of very well….fed great food each day and lived in the cozy bunkhouse, all while being able be around the corrals and horses where ever we went, experiencing day to day life on the ranch. The Dryhead staff was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time and got the shots we wanted….even if they had to do it “just one more time!”  They rode through and worked horses/cattle in a variety of settings that gave plenty of variety in images for the week.  Talented riders they are, kids included….made photographing them all a pleasure! Kim and Phyllis did not disappoint with putting this workshop together and I look forward to next year!  Pam G.

Phyllis’ Montana photo retreat has been a wonderful experience, Phyllis has great photo opportunities
for what each of her participants are looking for-from lifestyle set ups to portfolio building shoots.
Beautiful new models and locations. Hilary B.

I have learned so much from Phyllis at the Montana Winter Workshop. From set up a scene to the final
    edits. Thanks, Libby R.

Awesome workshop! 1st time on an equine photography workshop and it exceeded my expectations. Great variety
of set ups to shoot plus excellent lodging, hosts and food. Thank you! Kim W.

Southern Cross Guest Ranch, Madison, GA

with Phyllis Burchett and Charlotte Detienne

I’m pleased to announce my collaboration with Charlotte Detienne, ranch photographer

at the beautiful Southern Cross Guest Ranch, for this year’s Georgia Workshop!!!

    Charlotte Detienne Photography

Southern Cross Guest Ranch is a premier year-around guest ranch, horse farm, and bed & breakfast conveniently nestled in Central Georgia’s Historic Heartland and within an hour drive from Atlanta. Home to well over 150 quality Paint and Quarter horses, the ranch is best known for its exceptional hands-on horseback riding program, personalized riding experience, and peaceful, comfortable setting.

Testimonial from this year’s workshop at Southern Cross:

This workshop was my very first Equine Photography Workshop! I am totally addicted now! I learned such valuable information, that everybody has commented on how much my photography has improved (seemingly overnight…but it was a 10 hour drive to and from Georgia for me!  So a little more than overnight). The models were beautiful and handsome. I determined after this workshop, that I will ONLY attend workshops of this caliber. As not only did I receive excellent knowledge to propel me forward, but having the images to use on my social media platforms as well as my website are invaluable for somebody new like myself! I highly recommend and I will be attending in 2020 again! The ranch was simply amazing!  JH

You can not beat a combination of photography, horses, beautiful setting and willing models. This workshop pushed me out of my comfort zone and I am so glad that it did. The workshop was challenging for experienced photographers, while encouraging a novice to learn and grow. I am already planning vacation around the 2020 schedule. NP

Testimonials from past workshops at Greer Farm:

Just a note to say how much I enjoyed your workshop yesterday.  It was like none I have had before.  The models and horses were great subjects, and Lynn was the perfect hostess for such an event.  It will take a while for me to “digest” and process all the great moments I got yesterday and I look forward to the finished products.  Just an overall neat experience.  Thank you for that. Best wishes, Greg M.

Phyllis!! Oh my goodness!! I’ll never be able to accurately express how much I enjoyed your workshop yesterday! From start to finish everything was perfect! Thank you for being you!!! I want to go on ALL your workshops!!! Vickie R.
